Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you use checkyourpropertyvalue.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.
Who we are
Check Your Property Value is a service of WithJoy.AI Inc., a Washington corporation, at 1220 Main St, Suite 400, Vancouver, WA 98660. WithJoy.AI Inc. is the business responsible for the personal information described here. For any privacy question, or to have your data deleted, email hello@checkyourpropertyvalue.com.
We are a marketing service, not a real estate brokerage. We connect homeowners with licensed real estate professionals. We do not list, sell, or appraise property ourselves.
What we collect
When you submit the form on this site, you give us:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- The property address and ZIP code you want valued
- Your selling timeline, if you choose one
- Confirmation that you agreed to be contacted
We do not ask for a phone number, a date of birth, a Social Security number, or any financial detail, and you should not send them to us.
Our hosting provider also records standard technical information:
- Your IP address and approximate country
- Your browser's user-agent string
- The date and time of the request
We do not use advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or third-party cookies on this site. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to.
Why we collect it
- To match you with a licensed agent who works in your area — this is the service, and the ZIP code is what makes the match possible.
- So that agent can prepare and send your estimate. A home cannot be valued without an address, and the result cannot be sent without an email address.
- To send the monthly neighborhood note you opted into, for as long as you want it.
- To keep the site and our mail systems working — technical logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
Who we share it with — read this part
We share your name, email address, property address, ZIP code, and selling timeline with one licensed real estate professional in your area. That agent prepares your estimate and emails it to you. This is the entire point of the service and it is what you agree to when you tick the consent box on the form.
The agent is an independent business, not our employee. Once your information reaches them, their own privacy practices also apply to it. They are contractually required to use your information only to prepare and follow up on your estimate, and not to resell it — but we cannot control them absolutely, and you should ask them directly if you want to know how they handle your data.
We also use these service providers to operate:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this website and processes the form submission.
- Our own mail infrastructure — we operate our own mail servers to send your estimate and the monthly note.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
What we do not do
Beyond the single matched agent described above, we do not sell your information, rent it, or trade it. We do not distribute it to lead brokers, lead-generation marketplaces, data aggregators, advertising networks, or a panel of competing agents. You will not be handed to five agents who all call you — we do not collect a phone number, and we match you with one.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as you are subscribed, and for up to 24 months after you unsubscribe so that we can honor your opt-out and retain a record that you consented. After that we delete them. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will, and we will keep only the minimum needed to make sure we do not contact you again.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe using the link in the footer of any email we send. One click, effective immediately.
- Ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information entirely.
- Ask us who we matched you with, and we will tell you which agent received your details.
Email hello@checkyourpropertyvalue.com for any of these. We aim to respond within 30 days and we do not charge for it.
If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Washington, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional statutory rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We extend the rights listed above to everyone regardless of where they live.
A note for California residents: sharing your information with a matched agent is done at your direction and with your consent, in order to deliver the service you requested. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Email practices
Every commercial email sent through our platform identifies who sent it, includes a valid physical postal address, and carries a working one-click unsubscribe link, as US CAN-SPAM requires. Emails you receive from a matched agent will show that agent's own business address, because they are the sender. We honor unsubscribe requests immediately rather than taking the ten business days the law permits.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Our mail servers require authenticated, encrypted connections and are configured with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC so that mail claiming to be from us can be verified as genuinely ours. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect what you give us.
Children
This site is meant for adults who own or are interested in residential property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant and affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell subscribers by email.
